Description
- Brookhaven at Lexington, an over-62 elderly housing facility, sought to expand its existing campus, and to construct a new, 5-story residential building.
- The project required a zoning change at Town of Lexington Town Meeting, and permitting through the Planning Board, Zoning Board, and Conservation Commission.
- The project involved extensive work near wetlands areas including arch culvert span over intermittent stream.
- Total construction cost was approximately $60,000,000.
Services
- Met with Town officials to negotiate a Memorandum of Understanding associated with the zoning change.
- Represented the Client as primary contact during the zoning change process and lead the presentation to Lexington Town Meeting.
- Coordinated survey and engineering design throughout design and permitting process.
- Primary representative during permitting efforts with local boards including Planning Board and Conservation Commission.
- Coordinated engineering inspections during construction including soil density, concrete, reinforcing steel, structural steel, and fire stop inspections.
- Prepared Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) and primary responsibility for erosion control inspections and regular reporting to Conservation Commission.
- Coordinated engineering and surveying efforts for Certificate of Occupancy, and obtained final Certificate of Compliance from the Conservation Commission.
