Description
- The DeCordova Sculpture Park and Museum is a 30-acre sculpture park and contemporary art museum located on the shores of Flint Pond in Lincoln, MA.
- An employee parking area was reconfigured to serve as a main function area at the DeCordova Museum and Sculpture Park.
- Existing access ways needed improvement to achieve ADA requirements for handicap access, to remove existing boardwalk and sidewalk replacement.
- The work required permits from the Planning Board and Conservation Commission.
- Stormwater was infiltrated to groundwater while maintaining flows to a notable water-based sculpture at the facility.
Services
- OHI staff met with the owner, applicant, and with the Town to review current zoning ordinance for both use and dimensional requirements.
- Coordinated survey and prepared engineering design plans throughout design and permitting process.
- Prepared site plan and application packages for site plan review.
- Design of updated access to existing building, and upgrades of trails to meet Americans with Disabilities Act requirements.
- Primary representative during permitting efforts with local boards including Planning Board, and Conservation Commission.
- Completed detailed Stormwater Evaluation to ensure that post-construction conditions did not increase stormwater flows while maintaining flow to a major water-based sculpture at the facility.
