Construction SWPPPs

Description

  • The EPA National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) was setup to help minimize pollution from “earth-disturbing activities.”
  • In order to remain in compliance with the Clean Water Act, NPDES permits require operators disturbing greater than 1 acre to author a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP).
  • SWPPPs identify potential sources of stormwater pollution and describe control measures and best management practices (BMPs) to reduce or eliminate pollutants.
  • OHI has prepared hundreds of SWPPPs for a wide variety of projects from small neighborhood development to large-scale highway infrastructure improvements.

Services

  • Preparation and maintenance of the SWPPP by certified Qualified Preparers.
  • SWPPPs are developed and maintained throughout the duration of the project.
  • Filing of electronic Notice of Intent at commencement of project and Notice of Termination at end of project.
  • Qualified Compliance Inspector of Stormwater to implement and inspect BMPs maintain compliance and avoid costly penalties and fees.
